English Super League clubs Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves will take part in the NRL’s Las Vegas Festival at Allegiant Stadium in 2025.

The event, which will take place on March 1, will also feature a clash between the England and Australia women’s national teams.

Wigan vs Warrington will kick off the Las Vegas Festival at 1:30pm local time, with the NRL’s Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors to meet at 4pm. The Australia-England Test match will then take place at 6pm, before a second NRL game between the Penrith Panthers and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at 8:30pm.

Next year’s event at Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Raiders, will mark the NRL’s return to Las Vegas. The 2024 NRL season commenced with a double-header at the stadium on March 2 as the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles faced the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Sydney Roosters played the Brisbane Broncos.

March’s event at the 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium marked the first NRL games outside of Oceania. The second match of the day attracted a crowd of 40,746.

NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo said: “Las Vegas 2025 will be a bigger, bolder and better festival of rugby league. The 2025 Las Vegas event will feature two highly anticipated NRL Premiership matches to open the season, the 2024 UK Challenge Cup finalists, Wigan and Warrington, and a Test match showcasing some of the most elite women’s players from both hemispheres.

“We’ve given fans the opportunity to plan early and take advantage of the Las Vegas festival experience – a true bucket list item for all rugby league and sports fans. Thank you to all the participating teams who will now get the chance to perform on a global stage with huge exposure.

“Thank you to all our partners, including the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Allegiant Stadium and our broadcast partners, who have worked closely with us to create this innovative and truly unique event.”

The NRL has released details of travel packages featuring special charter flights from Sydney direct to Las Vegas through Trip-A-Deal. Individual general public tickets, purchased outside of travel packages, will be available for purchase on July 26.

RL Commercial has also announced that a wide variety of ticket and travel packages will go on sale later this month.

Rhodri Jones, RL Commercial managing director, added: “To have Betfred Super League featuring when rugby league returns to Las Vegas in 2025, as well as an historic international fixture for England Women, is a mouthwatering prospect and a huge opportunity for the sport.

“We are looking forward to working closely with Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, our commercial and broadcast partners and the NRL to ensure the weekend is another massive success.”
